The Prelude to the Festival Concert Series is generously underwritten by Texas Casual Cottages by Trendmaker. The Festival is grateful for their support of this, our first time to bring chamber music to a broader audience, over a longer period of time.
As during the Festival season, world-class artists will be performing in intimate settings – precisely the type of environment for which the music was composed.
Preludes are meant to be savored as a lagniappe, so to speak, leading up to a main event. In this case, that event is the production of the Festival's Fifth Season of performances.
This coming May, immerse yourself in fabulous music, over two weekends, in the verdant countryside of Fayette County.
The Annual May Festival
Each May, the Fayetteville Chamber Music Festival presents concerts of chamber music during which the audience sits near the musicians and experiences the music close-up. World-class musicians from New York, Hungary, Poland, Houston and Austin perform in the Moravian Room at the Country Place Hotel in downtown historic Fayetteville where the natural acoustics bring a perfect warm, intimate sound to the musicians' violin, clarinet and piano. The repertoire includes classics by Brahms, Mozart, Beethoven, Czech favorites by Dvorak and
Janacek, and Swedish pieces by Berwald, Netzel, and Stenhammar, among others.
Founded in 2006 as a 501(c) 3 non-profit incorporated in the State of Texas, the Festival has enjoyed the support of volunteers, individual patrons, corporations and grant-making organizations including the Barbro Osher Pro Suecia Foundation and the Swedish Council of America.
