Dear Music Lovers!Our Area will soon enjoy Music Festival right in downtown Fayetteville—at St. Paul Lutheran Church and The Country Place Hotel—with the performances of the Fayetteville Chamber Music Festival—enjoy a Feast of Music. This year we celebrate Czech-inspired music with music by Dvorak, Brahms and other composers, performed by world-renowned but local favorites James Dick, Michelle Schumann and the Chiara String Quartet. There will be a special Mother’s Day Concert at 3PM on Sunday, May 13 where James Dick and I perform music by Brahms. Hope to see you there! Dvorak’s American String Quartet—inspired during his life in the U.S. Brahms’ Sonatas and Rhapsodies—a treat for Mother’s Day. Dvorak’s famous “Dumky” Trio and Schubert best-loved String Quartet as well as Schumann’s Quintet for Piano and Strings. The Country Place Hotel, overlooking the town square in historic Fayetteville, population 300. The eight guestrooms will take you back to a simpler time in Texas history—a time before televisions and telephones, when you could sit on the porch in a rocking chair and watch the world go slowly by. Festival will also include pre-concert talks, open rehearsals, receptions and other activities. |
